Composed as part of a commission for a Jewish wedding, this beautiful interlude has the right hand playing both an accompaniment and a melody at the same time, allowing the student to practice emphasizing and singling out the notes of the melody. This piece was (pretty clearly) influenced by “Sunrise, Sunset” from Fiddler on the Roof.
