- DESCRIPTION
- A Ragtime with Latin feel and rhythms, composed in the traditional AABBACCDD structure.
Arthur Breur’s sister, Margie, negotiated with him that she got to have one piano piece—Scott Joplin’s “Solace”—that could be “her” piece—that she could play that he never would. When, years later, she caught him sight-reading that very piece, she reminded him of this agreement—at which point he thought to himself, “Fine, I’ll compose my own.”
